摘要: 隨著AI PC、Wi-Fi路由器、GPON等產(chǎn)品的快速升級,高速有線網(wǎng)絡(luò)作為網(wǎng)絡(luò)基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施的重要組成部分,以太網(wǎng)物理層芯片需要提供更高的傳輸速率,更好地滿足大數(shù)據(jù)時代下日益增長的帶寬需求。10G以太網(wǎng)技術(shù)將成為下一代以太網(wǎng)技術(shù)的重點發(fā)展方向。10G以太網(wǎng)芯片的研發(fā)需要攻克高速信號完整性、低功耗設(shè)計等一系列技術(shù)難題。圍繞10G以太網(wǎng)PHY芯片的信號處理關(guān)鍵問題,首先介紹10G以太網(wǎng)的相關(guān)國際標(biāo)準(zhǔn)背景,然后討論10G以太網(wǎng)的網(wǎng)絡(luò)需求,接著重點闡述10G以太網(wǎng)物理層信號處理的關(guān)鍵技術(shù)。最后對全文進(jìn)行總結(jié)并探討未來高速以太網(wǎng)的進(jìn)一步發(fā)展。

Overview on the key technology of signal processing for 10G Ethernet

Abstract: With the rapid upgrades of products such as AI PCs, Wi-Fi routers, and GPON, high-speed wired network is an essential part of network infrastructure, Ethernet PHY chips have to provide higher transmission rates to better meet the growing bandwidth demands in the era of big data. 10G Ethernet technology is bound to become the key evolution direction for the next generation of Ethernet. The development of 10G Ethernet PHY chips need to overcome a series of technical challenges, including high-speed signal integrity and low-power design. This paper focuses on the key issues of signal processing in 10G Ethernet PHY chips, firstly introducing the background of relevant international standards for 10G Ethernet, then discussing the network requirements for 10G Ethernet, and next describing the key technologies for signal processing at the physical layer of 10G Ethernet. Finally, the paper makes a summary and outlooks the further development of high-speed Ethernet.

引言

隨著5G、物聯(lián)網(wǎng)、人工智能等新興技術(shù)的快速發(fā)展,對高速網(wǎng)絡(luò)的需求將會持續(xù)增長。目前主流的1G PC有線網(wǎng)絡(luò)芯片會成為網(wǎng)絡(luò)連接的瓶頸,而10G以太網(wǎng)(即10 Gb/s以太網(wǎng))將為網(wǎng)絡(luò)升級提供一個理想的解決方案,不僅能夠滿足高帶寬需求,而且還可以兼容之前的各種傳輸速率,能夠?qū)崿F(xiàn)平滑的網(wǎng)絡(luò)升級。

10G以太網(wǎng)也被稱為萬兆以太網(wǎng),它是以太網(wǎng)的第一個萬兆位版本。10G以太網(wǎng)使用雙絞線作為傳輸介質(zhì),采用了與 10 Mb/s、100 Mb/s 和 1 000 Mb/s 以太網(wǎng)不同的傳輸協(xié)議,即 802.3ae 協(xié)議,但幀格式相同,保留了以太網(wǎng)最小和最大幀長的規(guī)定,可以有效地與較低速率的以太網(wǎng)進(jìn)行兼容。10G以太網(wǎng)的出現(xiàn)使得網(wǎng)絡(luò)的性能得到了極大提升,具有速度極快、效率極高、延遲低等優(yōu)點。同時,可以使用現(xiàn)有的銅線基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施,減少對昂貴光纖布線的需求,降低部署成本,滿足對網(wǎng)絡(luò)帶寬的極高需求,主要適用于大型數(shù)據(jù)中心、云計算等場景。IEEE 802.3ae標(biāo)準(zhǔn)主要優(yōu)勢如表1所示。

本文首先闡述10G高速以太網(wǎng)的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)背景和芯片研發(fā)的有關(guān)關(guān)鍵技術(shù),然后概述10G以太網(wǎng)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的物理層和MAC層主要功能和技術(shù),接著分析目前10G以太網(wǎng)的網(wǎng)絡(luò)需求以及10G以太網(wǎng)物理層中的關(guān)鍵技術(shù),最后對本文內(nèi)容進(jìn)行總結(jié)。
